Display Cabinet is a new exhibition situation in front of the entrance to FOTOGALERIE WIEN, where interventions or installations will be shown every six months in future. The artist Aaron Amar Bhamra (*1992 in Vienna, lives and works there) will begin with the intervention ON AIR.
For the intervention at FOTOGALERIE WIEN he works with air and suggestions. Through his practice Bhamra tries to understand the systematics and necessities of exhibition making. Interacting with already existing conditions (air) instead of creating them, they potentially form a place, an exhibition, emptiness or a space for conversation. As a framework for ON AIR, Bhamra asked colleagues and friends to suggest texts based on or leading to the theme of „air”. These texts will rotate every two weeks within the exhibition and then be compiled into a publication that will be offered to the public through a reading and in print.
