In the 1970s, photography gained general recognition as a means of artistic expression – not so in Spain. Only a weak presence of press photography was to be found.
To counteract this state of affairs, the gallery “Visor Fotografic Centre” was founded in the early 1980s. The gallery’s goal is also to exhibit and promote works by young, currently lesser-known artists. Some examples are shown in the exhibition at FOTOGALERIE WIEN.
