Everything is under control. Keine ungewöhnlichen Vorkommnisse shows a model of a security or control centre, complete with numerous monitors and control panels.
A condensed collection of imagery of the colour and design language of the 1980s plays across these screens: large volumes, rounded corners, deep brown and rich orange. An amalgamation between own photographs, external archives, vernacular photography, paintings, still images and moving images.
This condensation gives rise to a precise articulation of something entirely vague. Perhaps the staged imagery of a bygone era, which appears so seductively condensed and free of contradictions when viewed in retrospect, re-staged with all its unfulfilled promises and contradictions.
